Don’t believe everything you hear! Here are three myths about selling a home in winter that are completely false.
Real estate is full of myths that are simply untrue. The winter months are full of potential homebuyers and perfect opportunities to make a sale, but many believe that winter is a bad time to list a home. Today we’ll be busting the three biggest myths about selling a home in winter:
1. There are no buyers. In reality, there are many buyers in winter. The good news, too, is that there are fewer sellers. This means your listing will be seen by more people and face less competition from other listings.
2. Buyers are less serious. Many people look for homes in winter because they’ll be starting a new job in the new year. These people are looking to find a home quickly, which means they are serious buyers.
3. Selling during the holidays is hard. The holiday months can be busy. However, you can easily create a showing schedule that still allows you plenty of time for family events and celebrations.
