Here are my tips for making six figures in your first year in real estate.
How can you make six figures in your first year in the real estate business? I love that goal, so if you’re an ambitious real estate agent (and you should be), it’s possible to achieve that objective. Here are the three things you must do:
1. Work hard. You need to talk to many people. You may call it prospecting, but you must contact tons of people, which includes both friends and strangers. Do cold calling; you can’t be shy. You can call, text, or meet up with people, but you can’t have any excuses about making contacts.
2. Be an expert. Learn, walk, talk, and sound like an expert agent. Learn the market and follow experts and leaders to make yourself an expert too.
“Do cold calling; you can’t be shy.”
3. Learn how to script. Some people don’t like to do this, but it’ll help you sound like an experienced Realtor. If you can say the right thing at the right time, it’ll convert the people you’re speaking to into leads.
If you have an excellent presentation, contact the right people, have great marketing, and look competent, you can make good money in real estate. Once you’ve made six figures, if you stay in touch with people, do all the right things, and are an ethical agent, it’s much easier to make six figures again the next year.
If you have any questions, I coach and mentor multiple Realtors who are making six figures, and I can share how we did it. Coaching is one of my specialties, so call or email me, and I’ll get you where you want to be.
