    4 Mistakes Sellers Always Make When Selling

    Selling a home involves a lot of different steps and, sometimes, a lot of mistakes. Here’s how to avoid four of the most common home seller mistakes.

    Here are the four most common mistakes that I always see home sellers make:

    1. Poor marketing. It’s easy to spot a home online that has poor photos and a lack of exposure. You always want to make sure your home is exposed to as many buyers as possible and is associated with a great brand. You wouldn’t sell a diamond ring at a garage sale. You’d rather sell it at Tiffany’s.

    2. Not using an experienced Realtor. Experience matters in this business. You need to have a team who has done deals in this market for a long time. You want the best, and that’s someone with a lot of experience.

    It’s important to accommodate as many buyers and showings as possible.

    3. Poor pricing. This is probably the biggest mistake I see. I’m from West Texas, and I’ve always gone by the credo of “You’ve got to price your home right for the fish to bite.” If people are going to look at your home, but refuse to make an offer, you’re not pricing right. Buyers are selective with their offers, so you need to make sure that you’re in the price range to capture as many offers as possible.

    4. Not allowing showings. When you’re selling your home, it’s important to accommodate as many buyers and showings as possible. I know it’s an inconvenience sometimes, but the more buyers that come through your home, the more offers you will get, and the quicker your home sale will close.
