A Tradition of Excellence

    “A Tradition of Excellence”

As I browsed the internet for this particular boundary, I was amazed at how the Roger’s Ranch and Stone Oak areas sit on the westernmost border of the Northeast Independent School District.  To be even more precise, the eastern part of Roger’s Ranch belongs to NEISD!!

As I browsed the internet for this particular boundary, I was amazed at how the Roger’s Ranch and Stone Oak areas sit on the westernmost border of the Northeast Independent School District.  To be even more precise, the eastern part of Roger’s Ranch belongs to NEISD!!

It covers 144 square miles from the Northeast to Northwest sectors of Bexar County.  The “Excellence” part must merely come from the fact that ALL 68 schools in NEISD earned a “Met Standard” rating as given by the Texas Education Agency.

In a Newsweek list of rankings for best high schools in America, 4 NEISD high schools managed to crack the Texas 200:

    1. International School of the Americas – 30th
    2. Reagan High School – 78th
    3. Johnson High School – 107th
    4. Lee High School – 178th

With approximately 67,000 students, NEISD boasts an impressive 57% single family residences!!  The district stretches to the north past Canyon Springs Golf Club, and to the east near Evans Road, Judson Road, and Windcrest.

The voters in the district have recently approved a 499.95 Million dollar bond to upgrade, renovate, and/or replace:

    • Safety and Security
    • Technology
    • Operations
    • Extracurricular
    • Facilities

In this area, you will find the following Elementary schools:

    • Vineyard Ranch
    • Wilderness Oak
    • Stone Oak
    • Hardy Oak
    • Las Lomas
    • Canyon Ridge
    • North East

2 Junior High Schools (Lopez and Bush) will feed students to Reagan and Johnson High Schools respectively.

I have to admit these are all impressive statistics.  It is not hard to see that NEISD is on the right track for future growth, and for maintaining their “Tradition of Excellence!”
