Today I want to introduce you to a man that encompasses our professional, knowledgeable ways: Joey Gonzales.
My great friend and business partner, Joey Gonzales, joins me today to talk a little bit about himself and about our real estate market.
Born in Dallas, Joey moved to San Antonio when he was seven. Now that he is married with two daughters, North San Antonio is his home. He has been in real estate for nearly five years and says that is has been a fun ride.
He says that the variety and change of pace are what he likes most about being in the real estate industry. He also says that this career has become personally and emotionally rewarding as time goes by. Helping families achieve their goals of homeownership, he says, has been amazing.
Joey says that he has always been interested in architecture, but was not involved in it when he first started working. It wasn’t until meeting me and I introduced him to real estate that he became a part of the real estate world.
He says that if he had the opportunity to change anything about when he joined the real estate industry it would be to have a fuel-efficient car for his average of 35,000 miles a year driven. More realistically, he says that he would have put his whole heart and soul into absolutely everything from the beginning; instead of focusing on income, he would have focused on the families.
Joey is averaging 40 to 45 homes sold each year. Extremely humble, he says that this is due to the strong market in not only San Antonio, but Texas as a whole. He says that he strives to increase his homes sold on a year-over-year basis. He says that his least favorite part of real estate is showing homes in the heat of the summer while wearing a suit.
For 2019, his goal is to help somewhere around 60 buyers and sellers He adds that helping other agents achieve their goals is also very important to him. He works with and trains a lot of new agents, which he says is very rewarding.
Joey is an amazing man. If you haven’t talked to him, you should because he is a class act in every single way.
