Today I would like to share three tips for pet-owners who are getting ready to put their homes on the market. Selling with pets can be made much easier by implementing these suggestions.
Many people, myself included, have at least one pet in our home. So, when it comes time for pet-owners to list their property, what additional steps must they take to prepare?
67% of Realtors believe that it is more difficult to sell a home when you have pets, and I certainly believe this is the case. Therefore, I would like to address some special considerations pet-owners must take into mind when selling their home.
1. Repair any pet-related damages. Fixing carpet, scratched or gnawed-on doors, and other unsightly issues should all be resolved before you list.
2. Rid the home of pet odors. Making sure your home smells pleasant and clean is very important. If you need a good recommendation to take care of this task, let me know. I would be happy to connect you with a great company.
3. Remove pets during showings. Your home should be neutral and free of distractions while buyers are present. This will ensure they are focused on the property, instead of on your pets.
If you have any other questions or would like more information, feel free to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
