The decision between buying a home versus renting a home all comes down to a couple key questions.
Today, we’re going to be talking about buying a home versus renting one. In 2008, the market crashed. This was a traumatic event for a lot of people at the time. Now, though, things are different.
When you think of buying a home versus renting a home, there are two key things you should think about:
- How long are you going to be in the home? If you’re going to be in a home for three years or more, a home purchase is probably the better choice.
- What is your lifestyle going to be like? A homeowner’s lifestyle is different from a renter’s lifestyle. If you’re an empty-nester or someone who isn’t family-oriented, a renter’s lifestyle may be more attractive to you. However, if you want a yard with room for pets and kids, homeownership is likely the better option.
Ultimately, there’s no real right or wrong choice. It all depends on your personal circumstances and preferences.
