Today I want to discuss the topic of suburban versus downtown living here in San Antonio. It’s a really hot topic these days.

While there is no right answer, there are pros and cons of each living situation. As for suburbia, the biggest advantage is that you get more space for less money. You can have a yard, a garden, and even a community pool.

When you’re near the pearl or next to downtown, there are a ton of different types of properties to choose from. You can get an apartment, a condo, a townhome, or something else. However, the prices in these areas tend to be significantly higher. You’ll see a lot of developments in the Pearl area that are really expensive, especially if you’re looking to fix and flip a property.

The longer you stay in the home, the happier you will be.

If you are looking to buy a property in the area to flip, it’s really important that you work with somebody who knows it well. Someone who is looking at the newest and best areas. Otherwise you’ll be paying a premium. You want someone who knows the area well. Then you’ll be able to find something that fits you.

My No. 1 piece of advice if you’re looking for a home is to find a place where you’re comfortable and can see yourself living in for at least a few years. The longer you stay, the more money you will make and the happier you will be.

If you have any questions for me about downtown or suburban living, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
