Here’s your update on our real estate market as of June 2019. Stay tuned.
The numbers from our June market are hot off the press, so let’s take a look today.
So far, we’ve had a 6% increase in the average home price as compared to June of last year. For the last seven or eight years, this market has been really hot, and we’ve seen a pretty big increase. The average price of a home in San Antonio is $284,000. There was also a 4% increase in the median home price, and these two factors demonstrate that San Antonio homes are rising in value.
Beyond that, we’ve seen a small decrease in the number of homes sold this year as compared to last—just a 1% drop. Overall, many homes are still being sold in San Antonio. The average days on market is about 53 days, which definitely means it’s a seller’s market. Sellers: It’s a great time to list your home!
Interest rates are low in our area, which means that it’s a good time to buy a home, as well.
To round things out, here are a few more interesting notes about the market:
- 62.5% of homes are selling between $200,000 and $500,000
- 30% of homes are selling below $200,000
- 7.5% of homes are selling over $500,000
