In multiple-offer situations, people are writing heartfelt letters, offering high prices, and trying a lot of strategies like high option periods and high earnest money. People are also looking at homes a little bit below what they’re approved for because they’re expecting to offer above asking price.
You really need to be aggressive and make a strong offer once you see the home that you like, so it’s critical to get a very experienced agent to assist you in making the offer. Get somebody who’s had experience in this market and put multiple homes under contract, because it is a tighter and more challenging market. You want to be the winner in a multiple-offer situation.
