    Can You Trust Zillow’s Zestimates?

Zestimates are fun to talk about and easy to read, but when it comes to determining your home’s real worth, see a real estate agent.

    What is a Zestimate, anyway?

It’s basically Zillow’s computer-generated estimate of what your home is worth. Since it’s an algorithm, it’s looking at factors like where your home is located and what past homes sales were in that area.

In my opinion, though, Zestimates aren’t very accurate. In our experience, they’re anywhere between 5% to 15% off. When you’re trying to price your house, that’s a big margin.

If you really want to find out what your home is worth, you should see a real estate agent. They’ll physically walk through your home and see what updates and features it has and what else really makes a difference in its worth.

If you have any more questions about this topic or you’re thinking of buying or selling a home in our market, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be happy to help you.
